Sandy asks…

have u ever wanted to mess with those SERIOUS star wars freaks.?

Star Wars Fanatics
How to deal with Star Wars fanatics…
When someone starts going on about the life-changing role the Star Wars movies have played in their developmental years, casually announce that you’ve never seen any of them, but hear they are “pretty good”.
Get important terminology wrong. (Drives the true fanatic nuts!) Confuse Wookies with “Winkies”, call Yoda “Yodel”, refer to Return of the Jedi as “Revenge of the Jedi”, Phantom Menace as “Planet Menace”. Get very annoyed when corrected.
Get the names of the key characters wrong, or better still forget them. “You remember the guy from these movies, you know, the one with the plastic head and the respiratory problem!” or “Oh, yeah, Ben-Wa Kenubi, my favorite, played by that English bloke. Wassisname. Sounds like a beer or something.”
Insist that The Empire Strikes Back is the only worthwhile Star Wars movie because it is “sooo dark.”
Deliberately confuse science fiction universes and inhabitants. Double fun and satisfaction as this offends two sets of rabid Nerdocracies at the same time. For example, insist that Luke Gripewater is fighting for “The Federation” and that Chewbaccy is a Vulcan. Insist that “To boldly go where no man has gone before” is a Jedi commandment. Brush off any attempt at correct with a dismissive ” Whatever. As if anybody really cares.”
Make vaguely unsettling insinuations about George Lucas. Try ” Isn’t he involved in some sort of DNA-cloning controversy?”, or “I hear he only talks to his mother via a TV monitor”, or “I read this piece where he (GL) said that Star Wars was written for people who hate sex”
When the guy starts talking about when he was sitting in the theatre borderline about to have a stroke watching Phantom Menace, casually say, “Yeah, I thought the ending was good, when my friends woke me up just towards the last quarter.”
The ultimate is to play stupid that the movie was even a big event. “Phantom Menace? Yeah, I heard something about that in the local newspaper. Something about the guy that made the first three is going at it again or something??? Dunno…”
When someone is sitting there theorizing about how there’s probably secret messages and things you can see if you look closely in the movie, just calmly sit there and say in a whisper “Then I guess you haven’t played it backwards in a VCR before?”. Try not to laugh as the person (attempting to look calm and collected) slowly gets up, starts walking out of sight, then see them bolt down the street towards their house to try it. Depending on how avid of a fan the person is, look for the smoke trail.
To make the last suggestion even more fun, wait for them to call back after they have gone through the whole movie backwards and couldn’t find anything in phantom menace. Tell them, “Ohhh, that’s right, it was in one of the other three episodes.”
When they tell you the lengths they went through and the sleepless nights spent trying to get a pirated copy before everyone got to see it in the theatre, tell them “That’s funny, I simply called the 1-800 number that was all over the Internet and got it mailed to me the same day, 3 weeks before the movie came out.”

Grace answers:

You could tell them that you only watched the movies for a good excuse to get theater popcorn and milkduds. I almost got killed for that one.
Also ask them Why Mace Windu’s Light saber is purple and say you never heard of a gay Jedi.

Ruth asks…

If that one didn’t stump ya this one will on Star Wars?

The character Wickit was played by a famous dwarf movie star, who is he, what and name two other movies that he played in.
Sorry I’m not a tv fan, and deffo not an extras fan so didn’t catch that episode. But as soon as the yahoo answers allows me to, we do have a winner, and she does get her ten points, whoo hoo great going kiddo.

Grace answers:

Real name is Warwick Davis. He has played in Willow and the Harry Potter movies as Professor Flitwick.

Susan asks…

OH yes, a star wars question?

So a lot of my friends fall into the category of the hardcore star wars nerds and know ALOT of trivia about the series. There is going to be a star wars themed party sort of which will include a trivial competition. incredibly nerdy yes i know. Now i was asked to join this trivia but I know nothing about star wars.
I do love the movies of course but I just dont have the knowledge capable of going with this competition.

My question is pretty much, will I be able to obtain all the knowledge by re-watching and studying the films? Like places, all character names, and everything that you would find in a star wars trivia?

What would be the best way to prepare for this?

Grace answers:

NO not even close you have to read the books and the bonus feture stuff too i am not a nerd but i love star wars but someone asked me this “how many moons does the planest Yavin 4 have?” i was like i dont know i know what yavin 4 is but nothing about its moons good luck dood!

Laura asks…

THis question is for the Movie freaks…Is attachment..or a feeling of connection with the character natural?

I mn..Everytime i have watched a film like lord of the rings or star wars….I fell so connected to the characters…and even the person who played that character…I cant make myself come to senses and realise that in reality that person is just a humanbeing..it happens only when i like a movie..And this feeling is really strong…..and than i start to see that actor or actress as the same person or the character which they played in the movie..Like lets say..In lord of the rings i saw umm lets say Legolas played by orlando bloom now when the movie is over i still wana see him as an elf..and in star wars lets say i saw anikan skywalker..i dont remember the name of the person who played his character….I just see him as the same anakin skywalker A Jedi nin reality too.. this thing just fades away after sometime…But whatever time it is with me its always realllyy strong. If i sound like some syco :D …Im sorry..but i just wana know…has anyone ever experienced this..Or im the only unique case..:P

Grace answers:

Haha no youre not the only one… When that happens it means the movie people did their job… The point of a GOOD movie is for the viewer to feel somehow connected to the characters in the film same as with a book, the author wants you to feel like you have known the characters your whole life… Those are the movies you want to watch over and over =)

Your Questions About Tony Stark

Posted in: Super Blog- Oct 26, 2011 No Comments

Daniel asks…

What kind of hoodie is Tony Stark wearing in Iron Man 2?

In Iron Man 2, Robert Downey Jr is wearing a grey/black and red hoodie while in the boxing ring with Scarlett Johansson. Does anyone know what brand of hoodie it is? I’d like to get the same one. Love the color scheme.

Grace answers:

Looks like the gap

Carol asks…

What is the Car in Tony Stark’s (Iron Man) Shop?

There is a car in iron man, where Stark is working on it in his shop. The car is painted black, and has flames running down the sides. I believe it is in a different room from where he lands on the Shelby Cobra. What type of car is this?

Grace answers:

The car in question is a 1930 Ford Roadster, on 1932 framerails. It has a flathead Ford V8 engine.

Ken asks…

How did Tony Stark survive at the end of the Ironman movie?

He was on the roof when the blast from the generator thing came, and he had stated previously that the blast would fry anything on the roof. But when the blast came it only pushed him to the side and fried the bad guy, and they never explained why.

Grace answers:

Yeah, it a very miracle he survived, but superhero movies are all the same, if the superhero dies in the end, there will be no part 2 to continue, it really puzzles me in the end, that’s why.

George asks…

How does Tony Stark relieve himself inside that Iron Man suit?

Tony Stark flew from Malibu CA. to Afghanistan non-stop inside his Iron Man suit a trip of at least 16 hours. I had to go at least once during a two hour movie, so how does Tony Stark go inside that suit? Or is there anything else besides ice which can clog up that suit?

Grace answers:

Well you also have to remember that the suit goes super sonic.. Which is at least the speed of sound.. Maybe even 2 or 3 times that… That cuts down on a lot of time, but that is a really good question.

Laura asks…

What would be the building cost to fully construct a replica of Tony Stark’s house?

It does not need to have the additional price for building on Point Dume.

Grace answers:

Create a multibillion dollar weapons company and an arc reactor and then we’ll talk.
