Betty asks…
What should I be for Halloween?
I want to be something really unique and creative for Halloween. I hope to make it myself too instead of going to the store and buying it. I was thinking of being a character from a Wes Anderson film like Max Fischer from Rushmore or Margot Tenenbaum from Royal Tenenbaums. Any other ideas?
Oh and last year I was Hunter S. Thompson, so I guess I kind of like cult characters. Thanks.

Grace answers:
To REALLY be original, go as a pile of feces. Find a brown down full length coat (cheap at the second hand store), put brown make up over your face and stick some toilet paper to your head. Voila! Turd. Very original.

Ruth asks…
What is your favourite Wes Anderson movie?
Anderson is an enormously talented and original writer, director and producer. His films resonate with me (and a legion of fellow devotees) because he combines rare humour with a touching quality not usually found in the genre. I’m a huge fan of his work and would rate The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Rushmore as my very favourites. How about you?

The Royal Tenenbaums

Charles asks…
Has anyone seen The Darjeeling Limited?
I was wondering if anyone has seen the Wes Anderson film The Darjeeling Limited and how they felt about it…personally i thought it was a one of a kind movie that i really enjoyed…any recomendations other movies like this one?

Grace answers:
I thought it was amazing. The soundtrack was awesome, I pretty much liked everything about that movie. Wes Anderson’s films are excellent: The Royal Tennenbaums and Life Aquatic were awesome. The reason I liked it so much is because it really was a feel-good movie and there are so few of those out these days. Those are really the only similar movies I can think of off the top of my head.

Sharon asks…
What are some good quirky, indie films?
I like a lot of Wes Anderson‘s stuff, but also less quirky like Charlie Bartlett and Juno.
Another one of my favorites is Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Grace answers:
Bottlerocket
Buffalo 66
